Alleged criminal gang member Eron Ranasinghe alias 'SF Lokka' has been shot dead in Anuradhapura, police stated.
Police Media Unit stated that the 32-year-old victim had been traveling in a car when an unidentified gunman opened fire on the vehicle at the level crossing located at Dahaiyaagama Junction at about 11.45am today.
The car the victim was in also caught fire during the shooting incident. Anuradhapura police are investigating.
