The Meteorological Department has predicted that showers or thundershowers will occur after 1 pm in five provinces today (Nov 5).
In its weather forecast, the Department said that rainfall will be experienced in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, and Uva provinces, along with the Kurunegala, Batticaloa and Ampara districts.
According to the Disaster Management Centre, more than 200 persons have been affected due to the inclement weather this month.
