Showers or thundershowers in Uva and Central Provinces
The Meteorology Department issuing a weather forecast said showers or thundershowers can be expected in the Uva and Central Provinces while the Batticaloa, Ampara and Ratnapura districts could also experience similar weather conditions after 2 pm.
The forecast also predicts a few showers in the Galle and Matara districts.
The Met. Department requests the public to take necessary precautions to prevent any harm that might be caused by lightning activity.
