Department of Meteorology today predicted showers or thundershowers at several places in several provinces after 2.00 pm.

Light showers are also expected in the Eastern coastal area this morning. Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and therefore public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
