Showery conditions to increase - Met Department

A slight increase of prevailing showery condition over the island is expected today and tomorrow, the Met Department states.  

Accordingly, howers will occur at times in Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere after 02.00 p.m.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. The public is advised to take precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
