The electronics division of Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering) has secured a contract from Sri Lanka to support the development of the country's first national cyber security operations centre, Jane 360 reported.
According to the website ST Electronics said on April 18 that under the terms of the recently signed contract it would provide consultancy support to develop a facility that will enhance Sri Lanka's digital infrastructure and capability to counter cyber threats.
The company did not disclose the value of the contract but said it was one of several secured in the past quarter, which total about SGD463 million (USD331 million).
The contract is the second cyber-related agreement that ST Electronics has signed in the past month, the report said.
