Singapore’s Vitol Asia has won a contract worth around Rs 1.5 billion to supply petrol to Sri Lanka from October 15 this year till July 14, 2020.
A cabinet paper submitted by the Petroleum Resources Development Ministry said that Vitol Asia will supply 1.9 million barrels of Octane 92 petrol and 476,000 barrels of Octane 95 petrol during this period.
A barrel of Octane 92 petrol would be purchased at USD 3.4 while an Octane 92 petrol barrel would be purchased at USD 3.8 each.
