The leaders of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) are to meet to discuss future matters on the alliance between both parties.
Accordingly, SLFP leader President Maithripala Sirisena and SLPP leader Mahinda Rajapaksa are expected to convene a meeting in the near future, SLPP founder Basil Rajapaksa told media at the conclusion of the seventh round of discussions between the two parties today.
Parliamentarians Dayasiri Jayasekara, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, and Mahinda Amaraweera represented the SLFP while Basil Rajapaksa and Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa represented the SLPP during the meeting.
