Six Indian nationals who were in the country without valid visas have been taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Navy at Kurikadduwan Jetty in Jaffna.
The suspects were arrested after navy personnel searched a group of construction workers preparing to depart for Delft Island from the jetty by boat, the navy stated.
The suspects were handed over to the Kurikadduwan police for further investigations.
