Skeletal remains were found over the weekend during excavation work at construction site in Colombo at a five star hotel close to the former army grounds at Galle Face police said.
The Police media spokesman DIG (Crimes) Prishantha Jaykody said that that they are investigating t the remains with the help of Forensic experts. He also added they suspect that the bones may date to a previous cemetery.
The Fort police said that they have found the bones and are investigating weather the bones are human remains and when the bones were buried.The Colombo Hospital Judicial Medical Officer and Colombo Magistrate will inspect the area.
