The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) will seek clarification from President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the allocation of state ministries to its party members, a senior member of the Party said.
They have asked for an appointment with the President to discuss the matter before the swearing-in of the state ministers.
New state ministers are to be sworn in at the Presidential Secretariat at 9.00 am tomorrow, an official at the President's Office said.
The SLFP members also will be seeking clarification regarding the nomination of their members at the Parliamentary elections.
He said that when the cabinet portfolios were allocated the SLFP should have been given three ministries but received only two positions for Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva and Mahinda Amaraweera.
