The government has ordered the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) to immediately carry out the beautification of the Galle Face Green and its surroundings within three days.
Ports and Shipping Minister Johnston Fernando has ordered the SLPA's Managing Director to take immediate steps to carry out beautification work and to clean up the garbage that had piled up in the area.
The Minister had given the directive after carrying out an inspection tour of the Galle Face Green earlier today (30).
The Galle Face Green and its surroundings come under the direct purview of the SLPA.
