Following yesterday's Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) convention held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, representatives of the party are reported to be heading to Anuradhapura today (Aug 12).
Representatives are said to engage in religious observances near the Ruwanweli Maha Seya. In addition, party delegates will also pay homage at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi the day after.
Yesterday, SLPP President Mahinda Rajapaksa and newly announced Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa visited the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya engaging in religious observances.
