The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has denied publishing a poster containing the photographs of presidential candiates M L A M Hizbullah and Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
"...we confirm that this poster was not generated through our campaign mechanism," Dallas Alahapperuma, a spokesman for SLPP Presidential candidate Rajapaksa said in a statement.
The poster which had been circulating had called on the Muslim and Tamil communities to vote for former governor Hizbullah, and Rajapaksa respectively.
Former Eastern Governor Hizbullah is contesting this year's election as an independent candidate under the symbol of a Camel.
