The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) has been brought under the Defence Ministry with effect from today (Sept 9), a gazette issued by the Presidential Secretariat stated.
President Maithripala Sirisena currently serves as the Minister of Defence.
Previously, the SLRC had been vested with the Ministry of Mass Media headed by Non-cabinet Minister Ruwan Wijewardena.
