Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus drivers have launched a strike citing salary anomalies and other unresolved demands.
"The strike is underway at 85 bus depots We also held talks with the SLTB Chairman yesterday," Saman Kumara, who heads the Sri Lanka Freedom National Transport Workers Union, said.
He added that talks would be held in this regard with the relevant authorities today (Sept 17) as well.
