The Speaker further noted that the ongoing accusations against him and those being hurled at him in Parliament would no longer serve a purpose as 122 MPs representing 4 political groups out of 122 members have challenged the present administration in writing. The statement said as such it was his inescapable responsibility to listen to the majority opinion as is in compliance with Parliamentary tradition.
Further the Speaker will remain committed to protecting democracy of the motherland and ensuring future generations of the right to a life in a free and democratic country regardless of the enormity of the abuse, insluts and protests and threats to his life that he has to face.
