A special committee is to be set-up in order to intervene and finalise matters concerning the proposed multi-modal transport hub in Pettah.
Previously cabinet approval had been granted to call for tenders for the construction of the facility.
However, according to a cabinet proposal put forward by Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka the project has been faced with certain financial and technical issues.
Accordingly, cabinet had approved a proposal to form a committee that would be tasked with resolving these issues in oder to get the project unerway.
