The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) has established a unit to probe complaints of human rights violations by government officials in the run-up to the presidential election.
Issuing a statement, HRCSL said that the special unit will also accept complaints through a special 24-hour hotline '1966', in view of the November 16 vote.
