The Special Salaries Commission appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena to rectify issues related to salaries in the Public Sector assembled at its office today.
The Commission had recently called for proposals from trade unions to submit proposals regarding the rectification of salary disparities of public servants.
The submitted proposals are to be discussed at the meeting today.
The Commission is expected to submit their recommendations on or before October 20 to the President with regard to solving the salary issues.
