The Sri Jayawardenapura university has suspended five students for allegedly beating another student, University Vice Chancellor Prof Sampath Amaratunga said.
It has been revealed that the group had reportedly attacked a student who had objected towards ragging, the Vice Chancellor noted.
However, the academic sessions of the university are continuing to function as usual.
