Sri Lanka has expressed deep concern on the growing tensions in the Middle East following the assassination of Iran's military commander, the Foreign Ministry said.
Accordingly, Sri Lanka has urged all parties to "act with utmost restraint and maintain peace and security through constructive dialogue" to de-escalate the threat posed to regional stability.
Tensions have arisen between Iran and US after Iran's military commander Qassem Soleimani, was killed in Iraq in a U.S. military strike on Sunday.
