Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe, in a press briefing today said that Sri Lanka is "obviously" slow in carrying out projects.
He made this comment while referring to the news reports that expressed Indian premier Modi's disappointment towards Sri Lanka.
The Minister said a plethora of projects were to be implemented as per the MoU signed between Sri Lanka and India on April 26, 2017. However, he said that while certain projects are being carried out the rest of them have not been implemented.
Responding to a question posed by Times Online the Minister said that the only way to overcome the situation was to put forward cabinet proposals and carry out the projects in near future.
