Sri Lanka reports 9th COVID-19 death

A 52-year-old woman from Colombo 15 has become the ninth person to die from coronavirus (COVID-19), Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said today. The person died while receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH), Colombo.

Meanwhile, the country's eighth COVID-19 related death was reported yesterday. A 72-year-old woman from Polpithigama, Kurunegala died from COVID-19 yesterday while undergoing treatment at the Homagama Hospital.
