Sri Lanka will host next year’s Express Mail Service (EMS) Asia Pacific Symposium, after plans to host it this year had been cancelled due to the Easter Sunday attacks.
The venue of the this year's event had been shifted to Mongolia, to minimise the possibilities of a low turnout at the event due to the terrorist attacks.
The cabinet of ministers had granted approval to host the event this year, upon a proposal put forward by the Ministry of Posts.
EMS is an international postal Express Mail Service offered by postal operators of more than 180 countries including Sri Lanka.
