All four international airports in Sri Lanka are currently adopting complete precautions and preventive measures to combat the coronavirus.
“We have liaised with the health authorities and all agencies involved will implement a comprehensive programme” to ensure safety against the virus outbreak, Sri Lanka’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Director General H.M.C. Nimalsiri said.
He noted that all four airports - Bandaranaike International Airport, Mahinda Rajapaksa International Airport, Ratmalana International Airprort and the Jaffna International Airport will be adopting all necessary measures to contain the virus.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s domestic airports will also adopt the same measures as scheduled flights are set to commence from Saturday to Jaffna and back on Fits Aviation flights. (SD)
