Ranel T. Wijesinha, a well-known accountant and corporate director, has been appointed the new chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), informed sources said. Wijesinha takes over from Thilak Karunaratne whose term ended in mid-January 2018.
The new chairman was a member of the board of commissioners during Karunaratne’s tenure. – (DEC)
