SriLankan flight UL 315 which was heading towards the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) from Malaysia was diverted to the Mattala Airport due to the inclement weather in Katunayake this evening.
The flight had touched down at the Mattala Airport at around 5 pm, a spokesman for the Mattala airport said.
The spokesman noted that the flight would return to the BIA once the weather in Katunayake returns to normal.
