A Sri Lankan flight with 134 passengers and 9 crew members diverted to Mattala Airport following bad weather in Katunayake.
Flight Number UL-405 coming from Bangkok which was due to land in Katunayake at 5.10pm diverted to Mattala due to lightning and bad weather and landed at 5:40pm.
The flight headed back to Katunayake airport around 6:55 pm from Mattala once the weather cleared.

The Ministry of Environment has taken steps to declare an additional 50 forests as protected reserves, Under the ’Wanaspati’ National Programme.
