SriLankan Airlines has suspended flight operations to Cochin, India from today (Aug 9) until August 11 following the closure of its airport due to floods.
Cochin Airport Authority Limited announced today that all aircraft operations suspended at Kochi airport till 3 pm on Sunday, SriLankan said in a media release.
Due to prevailing adverse weather conditions, a red alert has been issued to four Western states of India, namely Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashta and Gujarat.
However, the national air carried said that it would offer alternative flights to passengers travelling to and from Kochi via Trivandrum and Coimbatore.
