Statement recorded from Aluthgamage over 2011 WC Final allegation
Officers from the Special Investigation Unit on Sports Related Offences recorded a statement from former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage over his allegation that the final of 2011 Cricket World Cup was fixed.
The Police Media Unit stated that statement was recorded this morning at the Minister's office in Nawalapitiya.
Further investigations will be conducted by this unit based on the contents of this statement, the police added.
