Legal action will be taken against COVID-infected persons avoiding treatment at government hospitals and state-run COVID treatment centers, Health Minister Pavitra Wanniarachchi said.
Her warning comes after several persons, who have been identified as COVID positive following PCR tests have refused to get into ambulances sent to their homes by the Health Ministry.
The Minister said action will be taken for violating the quarantine laws.
