Special Task Force (STF) officers yesterday (Nov 25) arrested a man with a sword and behaving in a violent manner in Madurankuliya in Puttalam.
The arrest was made when STF officers were engaged in a patrol to prevent any outbreak of violence after former minister Rishad Bathiudeen's vehicle convoy came under attack in the area, police said.
The suspect along with his sword was handed over to the Puttalam Police for further investigations.
