Special Task Force (STF) personnel have been deployed for security at the Canowin Arcade - the rest stop in Welipanna along the Southern Expressway.
A total of 60 CCTV night vision cameras have been installed outside the Arcade in order to monitor the movement of the people visiting the rest stop.
Further, cameras have also been installed within the Canowin Arcade, Road Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Nihal Sooriyarachchi told Times Online.
He added that the assistance of the STF was sought after taking the current situation of the country into consideration.
