One suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of a diamond worth Rs 5000 million that was recovered in Keselwatte, Panadura today (Mar 05).
The arrest was made after police had recovered the diamond at the suspect's house in Pitigala.
Police believe that the suspect identified as Kelum Indika Sampath alias 'Kaluma' was involved in the theft on November 5 last year.

A diamond worth Rs 5000 million has been recovered in Pannipitiya today (Mar 05).
The diamond is expected to have been stolen from the Arawwala area in Pannipitiya.
