A Sri Lankan university student who had been studying in China was admitted to the Badulla Hospital yesterday after exhibiting symptoms consistent with those of the coronavirus.
The student had recently returned to the country in the wake of the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in Wuhan, China.
She was taken to hospital via a "Suwaseriya" Ambulance with medics wearing special protective suits. She is now being kept in isolation at the hospital while tests are being conducted to ascertain if she is indeed infected with the coronavirus.
