Five A/L students were arrested from a school in Kilinochchi while they were using Heroin, Police said. A person from Trincomalee reportedly gave them 80 milligram of Heroin for Rs 5000 and told them they will be able to answer any questions in mathematics without any issues.
The man, inorder to sell the Heroin had falsely told them that use of Heroin will help them, Police said. These students were scored best results in the Ordinary Level (O/L) eaminations. They were produced before Kilinochchi Magistrate and were released on Rs hundred thousand personal bail each.
After the detection a meeting was called by the Zonal Education office with the parents and well wishers. The Jaffna teaching hospital Director S.Sathyamoorthy also participated in that discussion. (By N.Parameswaran)
