Students to receive special unit number to maintain profile at Education Ministry
The Department of Examinations will introduce a special unit number for Grade Five Scholarship and G C E Ordinary Level (O/L) students to maintain a record for each student at the Education Ministry.
Examinations Department Commissioner General Sanath Pujitha explained that students will have to use this number across all term exams and national exams.
A profile of each student containing their progress on academic and co-curricular activities would be maintained at the Education Ministry, Mr. Pujitha added.
He said that this initiative would initially be implemented for Grade Five and G.C.E O/L students, but that it would be expanded across other grades in near future.
