Summons have been issued on three persons including IGP Pujith Jayasundara, and former Treasury Secretary P B Jayasundara in the case filed against former Chief-of Staff Gamini Senarath and three others at the Special High Court.
Accordingly, the three defendants have been ordered to be present before the three-member trial-at-bar of Justices Sampath Abeykoon, Sampath Wijeratne, and Champa Janaki Rajaratne on May 13.
A misappropriation case has been filed by the Attorney General against Mr. Senarath, and three others under the Public Property Act for allegedly misappropriating Rs 500 million funds belonging to Litro Gas Lanka.
The two others include -Piyadasa Kudabalage - former Executive Director of Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation (SLIC) and Neil Bandara Hapuhinna - Director General of the Samurdhi Development Department.
They have been accused of committing the fraud between February 01, 2014 and January 20, 2015.
