Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) MP Sunil Handunnetti has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).
Mr Handunetti also served as Chairman of COPE prior to the prorogation of Parliament by President Maithripala Sirisena last year. COPE and other Parliamentary committees stood dissolved following the prorogation.
