Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma has said the 'Suraksha' Insurance Scheme for students will not be scrapped as stated in certain media reports.
Issuing a statement, the minister said the insurance scheme benefits more than four million students and therefore, this vital programme will be implemented without any irregularities.
The minister said the cabinet had also decided to continue the project by eliminating its shortcomings.
