Police have arrested a 47-year-old suspect from Oruwella in Tangalle with a locally made firearm and ammunition. Police Headquarters said the suspect was arrested yesterday (8) by officers from the Tangalle Crime Investigation Division based on a tip-off.
Along with the locally manufactured firearm, police also recovered five rounds of live ammunition from the suspects' possession. The suspect, a resident of Notolpitiya, has been handed over to Tangalle police for further investigations.
