A suspect who had been arrested with several suspicious items including Parliament passes and bullets in Balangoda was released on bail today (Jul 04).
Balangoda Magistrate Jayaruwan Dissanayake ordered the suspect to be released on two surety bails of Rs 200,000 during a hearing today. However, he was instructed to appear before court on July 11.
Police had arrested 27-year old Nasardeen Nislam, after a suspicious vehicle had been discovered at his residence in Balangoda. He had been arrested with Parliament passes, a Parliament map, and two live bullets, police said.
