A suspect has been arrested with National Identity Card (NIC)’s of persons born between 1929 – 1958 today (May 17).
The individual was taken into custody during a search carried out at a tourist bungalow in Panwila, Nuwara Eliya, Police said.
A total of 28 NIC’s were seized from the room of the suspect at the bungalow during the joint operation which involved the Police and the Army.
Further investigations are being carried out on the suspect who has been identified as a Public Health Midwife.
