A suspect who had defrauded money using forged documents representing those from the Presidential Secretariat and the Prime Minister's Office was arrested in Hatton today (Jul 12).
According to the police, the suspect had obtained money under the false pretext of providing employment. An investigation had been launched after a victim of the fraud had filed a complaint, police noted.
Inquiries have shown that the suspect was a former employee attached to the Hatton bus depot.
