Cabinet approval has been granted to construct a swimming pool at the Boralanda Police Training School at a cost of Rs 50 million.
A cabinet paper proposing the construction was put forward by Minister of Sports Harin Fernando this week.
The proposed swimming pool would span 25 metres in length and will consist of six lanes.
Students, public servants, police officers, scouts, and even lifeguards will be given the opportunity to utilise this swimming pool.
