A Syrian family which attempted to illegally enter the country has been deported from the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday (Oct 20).
Airport officials said that the family had initially produced a fake United Arab Emirates (UAE) passport at the arrival terminal.
However, Immigration officials had recovered their original Syrian passports upon a search carried out on their travelling bags.
