Tear gas, water cannon fired at unemployed graduates' protest

Police have fired water cannon and tear gas to disperse a protest by a group of unemployed graduates at the Lotus Roundabout a short while ago. 

The unemployed graduates held the protest demanding that the Government provide the jobs it promised for graduates. 

The protesters began their march from opposite the Colombo Fort Railway Station and were attempting to march towards the Presidential Secretariat when police fired tear gas and water cannon to disperse them.
