The general public could face delays while attesting documents at the Consular Affairs Division of the Foreign Ministry due to a technical failure, the Ministry said.
Issuing a statement, the Foreign Ministry said its electronic Document Attestation System (e-DAS) is currently facing a slow down.
This has resulted in delays while uploading documents and has “resulted in congestion in the daily services”, the statement said. However, specialists are currently taking steps to rectify the technical error.
The Attestation Section of the Consular Affairs Division is open to the public from 7.00 am between Monday to Friday, and accepts documents until 1:30 pm.
The Division will be able to serve only up to 500 visitors daily until the technical glitch is rectified, the Ministry noted.
