Proposal to bring 10 diesel locomotives to Sri Lanka was approved by the Cabinet, Media Minister Gayantha Karunathilake said.
He said that the engines will brought under the Indian loan scheme, as recommended by the Cabinet appointed negotiation committee. The proposal to procure the locomotives was made by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Nimal Siripala de SIlva.
